We are Back:)

Wish you all a very Happy New Year !!

Back after a BIGGGG BREAKKKK !!

Let each page of this year be beautifully carved .
Let us create joy in each moment , life is too short for regrets.

Last 3 years had been a rollercoaster ride . I had penned down many post but never published them . Inspite of all the bad times , the very best thing that happened to us last year was our little new family member . Cheeky Kitten is a big sister now !!

Kitten is in Grade 2 now. Her interest has changed widely in these few years. She is all into board games , card games, book reading but pretend play has always been a constant in all play .

I want to start a lot of my hobbies that I had stopped in middle, my quilling passion , crochet love , photography . The Kitten has always applauded  all my work which is now pushing me to start them again.

Resolutions taken every year don't last for 2 months , but this year I want to take forward ahead !! Hope time and patience gives me the strength to stick through it.

Coming Back to kitten , She is creating a bucket list of her own . Am eagerly awaiting to see how silly hers are . (She is yet to understand what a bucket list is 😜😜)

In upcoming days  , I want to continue these tracks of the kitten . The little bot will join us in the fun too.

@ DIY Magic paper !!!!

The kitten is always excited when she finds something new to play, to create or to mess after her nap . When all things happen together , there is no end for the fun right ?
During our childhood , I often used to wonder what's the White Colour in the box of crayons for? Also we never got color paper to try them .

Few Days back , I read a post about water resisting crayons activity in Pin Interest.

I immediately wanted to try it with the Kitten .

I scribbled some simple landscapes on a one sided paper .
I told the kitten its a Magic Paper .
I asked her to splash her favourite watercolour to unveil the magic .

She was overjoyed as her picture started appearing .
In the excitement , she added more colours n ended up in a mess 

Grab the quick supplies : 

The unused white crayon 

Any white paper 

Watercolor 

Scribble Some doodles .

Draw some funtoons 

Write some words .

Explain the bigger kids , crayons resist water .
For little tots, let the magic remain.

We tried this activity over the weekend again, this time she wanted to try it with a single color .She was happy on seeing each of her favourite object n things coming alive. 

This little art took me back to my schooldays to thinks about other crayon magic that we did .In the coming posts,  you'll find me trying few such crafts with the kiddo :)

Re-Living our childhood with cheeky kitten !!!!!

Kitten's First Joke

We were heading towards the city on a busy evening in a taxi .Traffic was moving slowly as a snail . 

Kitten was sitting with her dad in front . 

Kitten : Appa , why is the traffic not moving ?

Dad: Traffic Jam ma?

K(immediately) : Where is traffic bread ?

Dad : :|

We couldn't control the laughter for rest of the ride .

First joke cracked by the little one !!!

Finger Art

Kitten loves mess!!

If it's a beach,she loves sand rather the water.

While painting,she prefers hand painting rather drawing within lines .

Finger Art is really fun mess !!

We had tried this when kitten was younger , she didn't show interest then.

Yesterday , she was very happy , when I explained her .

She made prints all over the paper with all little fingers .

She observed ,each time she got a different size n shape .

We had a little talk that we could make this a lot more mess by making funtoons ,she was happy.She named her print as fish , adding a fin to that .I helped her by adding little details to it .

Then it was my turn to make prints .As our fingerprint will be big, I showed her how to add details to it to make it a human face .

She added hair ,eyes ,nose n mouth, even a moustache .

What we need :

Stamp Pad or Water color 

White paper 

* We can ask the tots to add some lines to print to make it a Sun.

* Draw some lines , ask the tots to add prints to make it beautiful plant .

The fun didn't stop  , she was excited to show her dad these again .

But it was bedtime , so not to make sad , we took the scribbler drew some oval shapes n started making the funny faces again :) 

At end of day what counts is a Messy Kid n Happy Mom☺️

Blocks....

Who won't love blocks ...

We have pretty good collection of blocks from Mega blocks, Clippo blocks, Lego small to my favorite Lego Duplo collection .

Tots interest isn't the same always .They just need to directed towards that .

The kitten loves her baby doll Jothika (A different story for this name ). She wrapped her in a bath towel n said ,"Amma , have her in your lap and don't move ,she is sleeping."

Me : Why don't you leave her in the bed.

K : She doesn't have one.

Me : Why don't you make one?

K : How ?

Me : Why don't you pick your Blocks n make one for her .

She was not that happy with what I said , but she pulled the blocks and asked me to make one.As I started making the bed for her baby, she selected the colors first , then she started adding pillows , side rails stating what if the baby falls .

Baby had a long nap on her new bed , we were instructed not to disturb her baby .

After 5 hrs , the baby woke up .The Kitten voluntered herself to tidy up .

When they are little toddlers ,we play with them, we show them ways to play .

But gradually as they start going to school ,we stop doing that .

The more we volunteer and offer help , the more confident and independent they become as they grow !!!!

Holiday begins !!!!!

Little kitten loves her playgroup .

As the holiday began last week , she is already bored .

For a while , I have seen lots of activities in Pin Interest to keep her engaged.
But never gave a try.
Also the kitten always loves to do role play in every other game or activity we do.

Her imaginary world is always with her throughout her play .

She loves hearing to stories as we read.

I wanted to take this a hint as a lead , so that her learning doesn't stop .

Little Kitten turning 3 !!!!

Kitten!!!

Yes that's how she likes to be called .
Adorable, Stunning , Cheeky,Naughty , Fun - that's our kitten .

Through out the blog , our little angel will be called as Kitten .
Memories are fresh ......

I still remember the day , the docs gave her to me asking to bless her ,the tiny baby ...
Days n Months has rolled now.
The Kitten Is growing .
So are the naughtiness .

She made me across each of her milestone easily .
When most of them said weaning as the most difficult phase , she made the transition overnight .
When I started bottle feeding at age of 1 , the stage where a sippy should have been fine,everyone questioned us saying she will become addicted n can't forget it .
After her 2nd birthday , I just told her , the bottle has become dirty n u can't use it anymore ..
She listened , she started having milk in cup directly or straws at times .

She never asked for it again.
No fuzz, No mess , smooth transition !!!!

What else can be a prouder moment for a Mom .

The next milestone -POTTY TRAINING .

The world is never short of questions n advices ...

When a tot crosses one milestone , everyone's starts asking about the next ..

We decided to potty train her only after the age of  2 .
Ya, We did buy a potty for her when she was 18 months ,That was the first step.

We wanted her to understand things slowly n at her phase 

Around 20 months , we started talking to her on potty training , she never listened ..
Just before her 2 Bday , she herself volunteered n said " Amma , potty ".

It was never a turn back .
She listens when u talk , follows the same.

I learnt , what we talk , teach n follow never goes waste .

They respond , but at their own phase .

At times , the harder we try , the more they repel  .

But these days , she neither listens nor plays like early .
Troublesome 3's Aren't they ??

Now the  kitten's bubbling energy has to dispersed efficiently with FUN .

They should be cultivated , pampered  a lot to become a nice individual .

Isn't it ?
